IRAQ - UNESCO - Management of the Buffer Area of the Erbil Citadel : Ars Progetti has been selected for this project consisting into establish clear guidelines and regulations for managing the urban historical city center of Erbil surrounding the Erbil Citadel and assuring that future development of the city would not negatively impact the Citadel itself, nor the heritage districts and buildings within its surroundings.

ARS Progetti has been retained to provide short-term operational services in the exclusive interest of third countries benefiting from the European Commission External Aid for the period 2009-2011 in three Lots:

Lot 9: Culture, Education, Employment and Social (Leader: ARS Progetti S.P.A.)

The project budget is 12 MEUR and the project duration is 24 months

JORDAN, Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities: Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Urban Development Project (CHTUDP).

ARS Progetti has been selected to provide the consulting services for Design and detailed Engineering Study and Construction Supervision Consultant Services for the Project financed by the World Bank of "Streets Rehabilitation and Furnishing, Landscaping, and Buildings Surveys in the City Core of Ajloun and the Jerash bus terminal development project".

Olympia, Greece. ARS Progetti S.p.a is taking part to the International Workshop on Disaster Risk Management at World Heritage Properties subscribed by UNESCO & Hellenic Ministry of Culture.

Patrizia Barucco, ARS Progetti Director Cultural Heritage Sector, will participate to the conference with the contribution on the project "Inventorization and earthquake hazard performance evaluation of relevant historic buildings in Istanbul, Turkey".

Completion of the “Inventorization and multi-hazards and earthquake performance evaluation of the cultural heritage buildings in Istanbul”:

The first week of November 2008 ARS Progetti as lead firm of a Joint Venture with two other firms, has completed the delivery to the Institute of Surveys and Monuments-Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey of the final reports and the GIS-Data base of 176 historic buildings, for which earthquake vulnerability and risks were assessed and uploaded along with historical information and retrofitting strategies. The project is a component of the world Bank financed ISMEP (Istanbul Seismic Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness project) and constitutes one of the most remarkable efforts ever undertaken of this kind in an area which is increasingly attracting the attention of the international community, i.e. the disaster risk management of built cultural heritage property. The project implementation, directed by ARS Progetti’s Chief Executive Daniele Fanciullacci, took 18 months and resulted in an innovative methodology and a final output which received the enthusiastic appreciation of the Turkish Administration and of all those concerned with it.

Roma: Corso in Europrogettazione organizzato in collaborazione con l'antenna EuropeDirect che ha sede presso la Facoltà di Scienze Politiche dell'Università degli Studi di Roma TRE. Il corso era rivolto a funzionari universitari (Roma Tre e La Sapienza), funzionari del Consiglio Regionale del Lazio e della Provincia di Roma, operatori del terzo settore. La giornata di formazione si è svolta sulla base del seguente programma:

1. Presentazione dei principali programmi comunitari, riforma della Commissione Europea, opportunità di finanziamento, risorse a gestione diretta e procedure di informazione (dove trovare i bandi di interesse);

2. Spiegazione di alcuni programmi : ENPI/Euromed Heritage; Marie Curie;

3. Metodologia: il Project Cycle Management;

4. Case Study: come si valuta una call for proposal. Esercitazione su un esempio di sovvenzione: lettura delle guidelines e analisi della metodologia.

In August 2008, ARS Progetti has successfully concluded the two years project in Guatemala "Democratic Municipalities - Citizenship and Social participation with focus on Gender and/or Youth Issue" financed by the European Commission. This project focused on strengthening Guatemalan young people and women social inclusion and civic participation and the remarkable results of this project have been appreciated by all the parties concerned and most of all by local communities and concerned municipalities.

PARIS - Siège de l'Unesco - Sous le Haut Patronage de l'UNESCO et l'Institut du Monde Arabe, l'Association Internationale pour la sauvegarde de Tyr organise le Symposium sur la Campagne de Tyr - Une étude réalisée par ARS Progetti et intitulée "Planning and preliminary design for the archeological sites of Tyr" a été présentée par le Dr Arch. Patrizia Barucco, Directrice du Département du Patrimoine Culturel d'ARS Progetti.
