The European Commission required an assessment report on the quality of the data collection system employed by the Central Statistical Office for monitoring - through statistical indicators - the progress in implementation of one of the strategic objectives of the National Sugar Adaptation Strategy for Trinidad and Tobago (T&T NAS). The reform of the sugar sector is proving to have significant impact on socio-economic conditions in specific areas of the country. Therefore, the availability of reliable and comprehensive datasets is essential for both stakeholders and decision makers. The report formulate a socio-economic baseline conditions study in the areas affected by the NAS, help improving the existing data collection and treatment system by the relevant government agencies in this field and formulate appropriate recommendations to achieve this result.

ARS Progetti in 2008 was selected by the OAS to form a multidisciplinary team to undertake the identification and verification of damages to communities affected by the construction of the Chixoy hydroelectric dam in the departments of Alta and Baja Verapaz and Quiche, where 90% of the population is indigenous Maya Quiche, qéqchi, achi and pocompchi.
The study constitute the basis for implementing a plan of reparation to the State of Guatemala at the affected communities. The project includes a situational analysis of the conditions of the affected communities before, during and after construction of the hydroelectric plant, the preparation of baseline surveys conducted before the construction of the hydroelectric plant in order to compare the results in a final identification of damages according to the categories of analysis and the agreements between the State and the affected communities.

The specific objectives of the assignment are to produce a clear and comprehensive SADC-HYCOS (Southern African Development Community- Regional Hydrological Cycle Observing System) Phase II Evaluation Report and a well defined SADC-HYCOS Phase III Project Document.
The Evaluation Report should state successes, failures and challenges of the Project in relation with the expected results. The assessment report should not only compile strengths and weaknesses in the Project achievements, but should point out the reasons for these successes, failures and challenges and relate them with technical, financial, institutional or other reasons. This would allow the Co-operating Partners and the stakeholders of SADC-HYCOS to draw lessons from the Project, which will be used as inputs for improving the specifications and the design of future phases of the Project, as well as for preparing other HYCOS projects.
The SADC-HYCOS Phase III Project Document should incorporate findings of the Project evaluation process and should be aligned to the WHYCOS Programme. It should provide a clear and an easy to implement environment that clarifies the different roles of all the Project partners and stakeholders.

The specific objective is to have all parties of the EU accession process to better understand the roles (and duties) of environmental NGOs and to propose working methods guidelines for Governments, NGOs and the European Commission. The project should act as catalysis to initiate a constructive partnership between NGOs, national administrations and the private sector.

The Strengthening the Sanitary Production of Fish Products (SSPFP) project has been designed to respond to an urgent need to support the Solomon Islands Fishing Industry to remain an active and growing exporter to the European Union, a key market for its fishery products.
The specific objectives of the assignment are:
a. Analysis of the SSPFP performance and achievements vis-a-vis targets stated in the logical framework;
b. Analysis of the impact and sustainability of programme interventions substantively and financially, as well as providing advise on aspects which should be replicated;
c. Evaluation of the general impact of the programme, specifically taking into consideration the impact that the programme has had on communities, in particular on women associated with fish processing industry;
d. Assessment of the contribution of government agencies towards planning and implementation;
e. Drawing up critical lessons on project design, implementation and management and making recommendations on i) how to improve the implementation and management of such a project ii) the design features to be considered for any successor programme, iii) project risk management during implementation process.
